Briefing promoters without overloading them
Field teams remember three things well. Here is how we structure activation briefs so talk tracks stick on Saturday morning.
Promoters remember three things well when a Saturday shift starts early and the store is already busy. Overlong decks become wallpaper. Structure briefs for recall, not completeness theatre.
One talk track, one offer rule, one escalation
Give promoters a single sentence they can say, one clear rule for sampling or demo limits, and one person to call when a bay is blocked. Everything else belongs with the supervisor.
Practice the handoff
Stock handoff between warehouse runners and promoters is where mornings stall. Walk the physical path once in the brief—where product waits, who signs, what happens to waste.
Leave the rest for supervisors
Competitor notes, planogram exceptions, and brand storytelling belong in the supervisor pack. Promoters need floor-ready clarity, not the full campaign bible.
